How to Prevent Camel Toe
Why do I keep having camel toe?
Camel toe is often caused by wearing clothing that doesn't fit properly. No one wants to get caught with what is a camel toe at the wrong time. This embarrassing problem happens when your clothing creates cleavage in your pubic region. It is common with swimsuits, tight jeans, leggings, and short shorts.
Avoiding camel toe is as easy as wearing fabrics that won't create friction or movement. Best tip for camel toe is to never go commando when wearing thin, stretchy fabrics.
There are ways you can prevent camel toeing situations below on how to never, EVER get caught with a camel toe.
Camel Toe Hacks Every girl NEEDS To Know
Method1: Choosing the Right Clothing
1.Wear the proper size clothing. You might think that tight pants or shorts look attractive, but if you take that thought too far, they won’t.
- Camel toe is caused by clothing that doesn’t fit properly. When your pants or shorts are too tight in the crotch area, you may end up with camel toe.
- Pants or shorts that are too thin in the crotch area can also cause the same problem. Too-small swimming suit bottoms are especially prone to camel toe. Choose the right fit.
- Buy clothing, especially when choosing workout clothing, that has built in lining at the crotch. The extra layer is designed to reduce embarrassing problems like camel toe. Stay away from 100-percent Spandex clothing.
- Avoid linen and polyester fabrics, especially if it's warm out. These types of fabrics are more likely to cause camel toe.
3. Choose darker colored fabrics. Black or darker fabrics are more likely to hide what some people call "crotch cleavage."
- The worst possible fabric for camel toe would be a thinner, unsupported polyester or yoga pant in a light color.
- The problem with white or light beige fabrics, especially if they are non tailored yoga or otherwise stretchy pants, is that they leave almost nothing to the imagination.
4. Pick the right leggings. Choose thicker leggings that are matte enough so that you can’t see your underwear through them.
- Whatever you do, don’t wear tights as leggings. They will be so see-through that you will have more problems than camel toe.
- Wear a long shirt or sweater over the leggings. No one really wants to look at your crotch area in leggings anyway. Try a tunic
Solution 2: Preventing Camel Toe
- This is especially true with fabric that is especially thin or made out of material that stretches or is lighter in color. If you don’t wear underwear with such already unsupported fabric, you’ve got a double problem.
- Wear thicker panties. The panties are less likely to cause camel toe because they won’t get pulled into your private parts as easily. Thicker panties will also provide some support, smoothing out lines.
2 Buy clothing or panties with multiple seams. Try to buy jeans, slacks or workout gear that contains multiple seams.
- For example, you could look for clothing with seams that have a V formation in the crotch area.
- Clothing that has a single seam running through the crotch area is more prone to camel toe. That’s because the looser fabric will more easily creep into your private area.
3 Choose pants with a lower waist. This holds true for workout pants as well as for blue jeans. The higher the waist, and the more likely you are to get camel toe.
- Try on clothing, squat and sit in it inside the fitting room before you purchase it to test it out for camel toe. Avoid the "mom jeans" look. Jeans that ride up the hips could cause you a camel toe problem (not to mention being uncomfortable and unflattering).
- Choose pants and workout clothes that fit comfortably on your hips. You want to avoid clothing that will ride up and bunch in your privates area.
Solution 3 Fixing Camel Toe
1. Wear a panty liner. If you’re already out on the town, and you realize you have camel toe, a quick fix is to wear a panty liner. Many beauty pageant contestants use this trick.
- Instead of wearing the panty liner vertically like you normally would, fasten it to your underwear horizontally, and place it around the seat of your underwear.
- You can think of this maneuver as applying the panty liner as if it is a Band-aid.
- However, in the restroom or a private area, simply tug at the material so that it loosens around your private area.
- You could also pull your pants down a notch at the waist to reduce the tightness around your crotch area. If all else fails, tie a sweater around your waist.
- You can also buy commercial inserts that resemble panty liners but are specifically designed to prevent camel toe. Camel Ammo and Camelflage are two such brands.
- You can purchase special panties designed to prevent camel toe, especially online. Some of the panties are designed out of special materials that won’t bunch. Some of them have a triangular patch sewn into the area of your privates.
- You can also find commercial camel toe guards that resemble men’s athletic cups. Some of these products are flesh colored. Look for them online.
- You will use it vertically. Cut it to the approximate size of the crotch section of your panties.
- Then, layer the piece of cardstock underneath the panty liner. Wrap the wings around the bottom of the crotch of your underwear and smooth them down. The extra cardstock should work as a cup to keep everything hidden.
